Message	running BB turbo's without the restrictor. There were no problems and then suddenly it started smoking. This was after about 4k miles. Quickly, restrictors were installed and there were no further issues. But, it's a gamble. You could try it, but from what I recall, getting at the driver's side oil feed line on the turbo is next to impossible. The one guy who I know has done it managed to clock the turbo, on car and then clock it back.
